Late 19th century French gilt-brass mantel clock; this rather opulent clock has a 20-day gong-striking movement, fitted with a garlanded enamel dial and a bezel and pendulum surrounded by paste brilliants; the heavy case with four bevelled glasses, cast front pilasters and shuttered borders. Circa 1885
