George III period 30-hour long-case clock. The cord-wound striking movement with a 10 ½” square brass dial, rococo spandrels and a calendar aperture, inscribed Wm Martin, Bristol*. In a simple golden oak case with a flat-topped hood with brass-mounted free-standing columns, and on a shortened base with a shaped apron.
*William Martin is known to have been working in Bristol in the first half of the 18th century
