Fine George III period mahogany bracket-clock of particularly nice size; the eight-day striking movement with a finely engraved backplate and a 7" (17.5cm) domed and silvered dial inscribed C. A. CANTI, TOWN MALLING. In a richly coloured triple-pad break-arch case with two cast scrollwork spandrels, scale side-frets and ogee feet.
*C. A. Canti is recorded principally as a barometer-maker working in Town Malling (Kent) from circa 1815 - 1845 and later at various addresses in London.
