Early nineteenth century oak long-case clock by Caldecott of Huntingdon; the 8-day striking movement with an attractive arched enamel dial painted with gilded stylised shells and a sheaf-of-corn; the richly-coloured case surmounted by a swan's-neck pediment decorated with dentil and dog-tooth motifs; the trunk-door with an unusual complicated catch. John Caldecott is known to have been working in Huntingdon at the turn of the 18th century.
