Very fine mahogany bow-fronted stick barometer by Mackenzie & Swaggart, 15 Cheapside, London; the well-figured fully bow-fronted case with a shaped base, inlaid ebony flutes and an urn cistern-cover; surmounted by a scrolled pediment. Alexander Mackenzie worked at 15 Cheapside from 1811 to 1822 although the partnership with Mr Swaggart does not appear to be recorded.
