Rare early nineteenth century rosewood wheel barometer of diminutive proportions by F. Amadio & Son, St John St Road, London with a 4 1/2" 11.5cm) diameter silvered register, thermometer, hygrometer and level; the case inlaid with brass double-line stringing and a cut-brassd scrollwork motif, surmounted by a swan's neck pediment.  Circa 1830

Francis Amadio (Snr & Jnr) were in partnership at 118 St John Street Road from c 1805 to 1840 and were noted for high quality barometers.
