George III period mahogany stick barometer by Nairne & Blunt, London with an open arched and silvered register, on a richly-coloured column with a hemispherical cistern-cover. Edward Nairne & Thomas Blunt were in partnership at 20 & 22 Cornhill from 1774 and 1793 where they produced barometers noted for their good quality.
