George IV period mahogany Pembroke bedside night-table; the cupboard enclosed by a drop-front faced as two drawer-fronts and with original inlaid ivory catch-escutcheons and turned knob-handles; on turned and reeded legs with brass castors. Circa 1820. This pattern of pot-cupboard was described in Gillows' Estimate Sketch Book as a Deception Table.
