Early nineteenth century golden-oak and mahogany long-case clock by John Wilson of Peterborough; the eight-day striking movement with a painted enamel arched dial incorporating an automaton of two children playing on a see-saw in a wooded landscape. The case with an inlaid stylised sea-shell on the trunk-door and decorated with mahogany cross-bandings and panels, and with a mahogany veneered hood, surmounted by a swan's-neck pediment and a brass ball-and-eagle finial.
