George III period mahogany side-chair; a classic example of a Chippendale 'ribband-back' chair in fine quality timber; with a serpentine cresting-rail, moulded and carved uprights and an interlaced openwork splat, the serpentine-fronted drop-in seat newly recovered in red damask. Circa 1760
