Fine quality early 19th century Continental mahogany small drum-table with richly-figured and matched flame veneers throughout; the two drawers with original cast-brass lion's-mask handles and pelta-shaped escutcheons, one fitted with a hinged writing-flap and a 'concealed' pen-drawer with an inkwell; on a turned pedestal with four splayed and reeded legs and brass paw castors. Bought with four small bergere chairs which suit the table very well - stock code 8485
