Fine George III period satinwood and marquetry jewellery box in the manner of Thomas Sheraton; the top with a coloured oval mezzotint in the style of Angelica Kaufman within an inlaid laurel wreath and an outer border of pellets and fine cross-bandings in various woods; the sides inlaid with oval panels of exotic timbers within similar borders and bandings. The pale silk lining is probably original. Circa 1790.
