Early 19th century mahogany wheel barometer by J. Gatty, 104 High Holborn, London; the 8" silvered dial contained in a Sheraton style case, inlaid with two attractively stylised sea-shells and two circular paterae, beneath an angled pediment.
James Gatty worked at several addresses in High Holborn, Charles Gatty was at No 104 from 1803 - 17. James may have taken over from Charles and retained the address. Circa 1830
