A rosewood domed top tea caddy concealing two lidded compartments;  the lid with a panel of satinwood inlaid with a picture of Muckross Abbey, Killarney, the whole piece extensively decorated with ‘Tunbridgeware’.  A fine example.  Circa 1840/1850

Probably made by Henry Hollamby  (1819 – 1896) who sold his Tunbridge ware panels to Killarney Ware makers.  Source:  Tunbridge Ware’ by Brian Austen, 1989, page 195
