Victorian burr walnut and silver fitted dressing case by Parkins and Gotto, London; inlaid with a mother of pearl plaque engraved with a stag’s head credit and a monogram of the initials ‘GLB’.  The interior fitted with various cut glass bottles and boxes with silver tops, finely engraved with flowers and scroll work and the stag’s head crest;  the lid with a detachable mirror and the base with a silver and velvet lined jewellery compartment which is released by a spring catch;  the drawer inset with a plaque engraved ‘Parkins and Gotto, Oxford St, London’.  Circa 1887

Condition In good condition;  one bottle/jar is a replacement
