A good Pair of Louis XVI period white and gold painted fauteuils with Aubusson tapestry covers; the moulded oval backs and stuff-over seats on panelled frames with turned legs; the contemporary tapestry is woven with figures within foliage on the backs and with scenes from La Fontaine's fables on the seats and apart from the re-nailing of the covers, the webbing and other details are of correct type and appear to be original.

Condition The tapestry retains much of its rich colour.
