Fine George II period walnut side chair, probably of Irish origin; the shaped back with an openwork vase-shaped splat, decorated with carved foliate scrollwork.  The bow-fronted drop-in seat newly covered in pale rose damask and on well-shaped cabriole legs with carved foliate knees and claw-and-ball feet.  Circa 1745
