Early 19th century mahogany work-box; the lid inlaid with an oval plaque with a stylised-leaf patera in coloured timbers, within an ebony-strung panel; the front with an ebony-strung panel with angled corners, above a compartmented drawer with an ivory escutcheon and knob-handles; the interiors lined with old, probably original, rose paper and the sides with original cast-brass flower-basket ring-handles.
