Early 19th century mahogany apothecary cabinet, the interior with five baise-lined compartments above a bank of five drawers one of which is deep and divided, another shallower and lined with baise compartments and three small drawers with sliding wooden covers. All fitted with original turned ivory*knobs, all enclosed by a pair of hinged doors each containing nine baise-lined compartments. The rear with a concealed sliding panel enclosing four baise-lined compartments containing a number of original square glass bottles and a collection of miscellaneous medicine bottles of various dates and origins. The exterior faded to a mellow golden colour and with a brass swan’s-neck carrying handle and inset brass escutcheons. Circa 1815
