Early 19th century brass three-draw 'Day & Night' refracting telescope by Dollond of London; a gentleman's library telescope with a mahogany barrel, and its stand with a hinged annulus with a locking-screw and folding cabriole legs. 2" diameter objective lens, 5/8" eye-piece lens. 37" overall length.Peter Dolland (1730 - 1820) and George Dollond (1774-1856 worked at various London addresses and were celebrated for their scientific instruments.
