A spectacular Regency burr elm Pembroke table; the surfaces quarter and pair veneered with exceptionally well figured timber of rich golden colour and the top and leaves banded with bird's-eye maple; fitted with a cedar-lined drawer and corresponding dummy with inlaid ivory shield-shaped escutcheons and original brass knobs. Mounted on a turned baluster shaft with four splayed legs, inlaid with boxwood spear-head lines and fitted with their original brass castors.
